SARAH Harding has candidly confessed to "missing" her Girls Aloud bandmates while taking a trip down memory lane in Celebrity Big Brother.
The 35-year-old singer, who left viewers cringing this week when she danced to the group's hit Sound of the Underground, paid an emotional tribute to her colleagues in the diary room.
Sarah said: "I'm such a fun loving person when I'm on form and with the right people around me, but I'm also really sensitive and my confidence was severely knocked over the last five or six years since the band ended.
"Nobody really tells you what to do when you've been up there for a majority of years.
"You've had a lot of crazy life changing scenarios happen during that time and then all of a sudden it's gone.
"I hugely underestimated how big we were because I was in a bubble.
"I do miss them... I do miss them - but we are all grown up now.
"Most of them are getting married and having kids, which is what I want to do."
A band insider said: “In the back of her mind Sarah was hoping her comeback on CBB could spark a surge of interest in the band getting back together.
“Girls Aloud have a huge fanbase who would love to see a reunion.
"But if concerns over her reliability were high before she went in the house, they’ve gone through the roof now.”
Girls Aloud found fame when they were formed on the 2002 reality show Popstars: The Rivals, and went on to become the UK's biggest selling girl band of the 21st century with more than four million album sales.
They disbanded in 2013 following a Greatest Hits Tour to mark their tenth anniversary.
Cheryl went on to enjoy a successful solo career and serve as an X Factor judge, while Kimberley Walsh appeared on Strictly Come Dancing and carved out a musical theatre career in the West End.
Nadine Coyle also made the switch to solo artist and signed a new record deal with Virgin EMI in July to produce a second solo album.
Nicola Roberts, meanwhile, has also released solo music, as well as working on a make-up range called Dainty Doll.
Sarah was another Girls Aloud star to go solo, releasing a single called Threads in 2015.
She then switched her attentions to TV, appearing in Coronation Street as Joni Preston and competing in Channel 4 winter sports show The Jump last year.
Since being in the Celebrity Big Brother house, the pop star has talked about Girls Aloud on a handful of occasions - and has been quizzed on rumours of a fallout between her and Cheryl.
Sarah said: "Everyone asks that but we're so busy with our own stuff.

"It's not for me to say. Honestly, it's not for me to say. I don't like talking about the other girls if it's a personal thing.
"I mean, we were like sisters, so of course it would never be plain sailing the whole time.
"Being around girls all the time is difficult, you know?
"Nothing lasts forever. We went though so much, even if had fallen out, I'm sure it wouldn't be a major deal in the future."
"I wasn’t as dance trained as three of the other girls. Two of us were more singers than dancers so I used to do extra time with my routines.
"Tour rehearsals for me were so tough.
"I used to have a mini meltdown at some point during every four weeks.
"Everyone would be dreading, like ‘Oh god here we come, Sarah’s going to have a little meltdown when she can’t pick up the routine’."
Sarah has only received public support in CBB from two of her four bandmates: Nadine and Kimberley.
Nadine tweeted the day after the show started: "SARAH IS IN BB. She is such a gentle sweet soul at heart!!! I am so nervous for her but hoping she has a wonderful time!!"
Kimberley, meanwhile, used her Hello magazine column to send her well wishes.
"I think she’s really brave to put herself out there like that as it’s a lot of pressure and such an intense environment to be in," she wrote.
"Sarah can sometimes be easily overwhelmed so I really hope she’s ok in there and enjoys the experience. She’s been great on the bits I’ve seen so far."
And Sarah has said in the house how she's drifted apart from her bandmates apart from Nadine, whom she FaceTimed before entering the house.
"There's been no fall-out," she said.
"I don't know Nicola and Cheryl's reasons for not [speaking out to support her publicly], but she would love to have all of the girls' support."
Sarah was blasted by Fifth Harmony fans after saying "they all wear next to nothing - all the girl bands do these days. slutty, slutty, slutty. Sex sells, sex sells...
"Obviously, when we were touring we didn't wear much because it was so hot, but it's when they do the videos it's all, like, slut drops and twerking."
The next day Nicola posted a picture to Instagram of a baseball cap with the slogan "Women in music are dangerously underestimated," alongside the caption: "And that's why we have to support each other."
Celebrity Big Brother airs 9pm on Channel 5
