THE BBC Radio One Teen Awards is the biggest event in the calendar for UK teenagers and popstars alike.

What are the Teen Awards?
The BBC Teen Awards is a music event exclusively for youngsters aged 14-17.
The daytime event includes musical performances and awards are given in music, film and TV categories.
It also celebrates several inspirational teenagers from across the country, this includes those who have overcome illness or helped to make a positive change in their community.

Radio 1’s Teen Hero Winners of 2017 are:
- My Mind & Me Teen Hero Award for Mental Health - Holly (15) and Oliver (13)
Holly and Oliver offer psychological, emotional and physical care to their mum. Over the last 18 months Holly and Oliver have set up a charity called ‘The Adams Movement’, with their older brother Josh. - One Million Hours Teen Hero Award for Volunteering - Charlotte (17) Having been though the care system herself, Charlotte is passionate about changing the future of care and uses her own experience to influence nationwide policy.
- Generally Amazing Teen Hero Award - Harrison (12) Harrison inspires other children with tackling obesity, anxiety and depression, after he turned his life around through exercise and changing his diet. Harrison documented his own journey via social media, inspiring other children to follow in his footsteps.
What happened to Gemma Collins at the Teen Awards?
Gemma Collins suffered a shock when she fell into a massive hole on stage at the Radio 1 Teen Awards.
Love Island stars Amber Davies, Jamie Jewitt and Marcel Somerville ran to help the Towie star as she suddenly dropped through a trapdoor on stage.
The Towie star quickly took to social media to confirm she was OK - and later said it was "all worth it" when she posted a selfie with Rita Ora.
