The official full Strictly Come Dancing 2017 line-up revealed including Mollie King and Gemma Atkinson, as bosses confirm final celebrity contestants
STRICTLY Come Dancing bosses have hired the show’s first disabled celebrity contestant, with Paralympic gold medallist Jonnie Peacock completing the line-up for this year’s series.
The 100m sprinter, 24, joins singers Mollie King, 30, and Alexandra Burke, 28, as they compete against actress Gemma Atkinson, 32, and Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins, 42, for the coveted glitter ball trophy.
Show bosses confirmed the athlete as the final mystery star to join a 15-strong collection of hopefuls, which also includes This Morning favourite and Loose Women star Ruth Langsford, 57, and magician Paul Daniels' widower Debbie McGee, 58.
Alexandra, who won 2008's X Factor, 28, has also been confirmed today after being rumoured for a number of weeks to be taking part.
Since winning the singing show she has appeared in Sister Act the musical and The Bodyguard in the West End.
Ruth has already revealed she is having nightmares ahead of her Strictly debut.
She told husband and co-host Eamonn Holmes that she should have lost weight or had dancing lessons before her time on the show.
Meanwhile, Debbie is taking part in the show to honour her late hubby by following in his footsteps and appearing on Strictly.
She has signed up for the show 18 months after the TV magician died from a brain tumour.
EastEnders' Davood Ghadami, 35, comedian Brian Conley, 56, and TV chef Simon Rimmer, 54, are also confirmed for the new series.
JLS singer Aston Merrygold, 29, known for his backflips and breakdancing during the boy band's shows, will also compete alongside former pop star and priest Richard Coles, 55.
