Ella Eyre credits Loose Women with helping her discuss her dad’s death publicly for first time
The singer's dad died in April, the day before she performed her comeback gig at Koko in Camden
ELLA Eyre has revealed how Loose Women helped her speak publicly about her father's death for the first time.
The singer's dad died in April, the day before Ella performed a comeback gig in Camden's Koko.
Last week she spoke about the impact the tragedy had on her on the popular daytime TV show, before performing her latest single Ego.
Discussing her appearance with The Sun Online, she explained: "It was [difficult] but I felt like it was necessary. I probably still haven't accepted it's really happened and it's a weird thing to overcome out loud so publicly.
"It kind of felt like a little bit of relief. I think that's what's so great about a show like Loose Women. People are open and honest they're saying things about themselves, about what they feel uncomfortable with in life.
"It's really important to do that because by being like that I was able to open up and be able to be honest about things."
"I was so nervous on that as well. It was the day after my Ego release party, so I was hungover as well. Not only did I have to deliver vocally, I had to say stuff that wasn't going to p**s people off."
Ella received a glowing introduction from panellist Coleen Nolan, who described her as her favourite singer.

The 23-year-old explained her reasons for going ahead with her gig despite the emotional news.
"It was two days after my birthday and the day before my comeback show in London," said Ella.
"The love was unconditional, but he wasn't in my life all the time. I sat in the car thinking, 'I don't want my dad to look down on me and see me a mess.'"
