Who’s on The One Show tonight? Nadiya Hussain and Rosemary Schrager talk Big Family Cooking Showdown plus Anita Rani discusses Partition

BELOVED Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain is set to grace The One Show sofa tonight as she discusses The Big Family Cooking Showdown alongside co-host Rosemary Schrager.

While viewers will also be treated to a discussion of Partition in India as Anita Rani talks about how it has affected her family. Here are all the details for tonight's show.

Who's on The One Show tonight?

Nadiya Hussain

Nadiya Hussain won the sixth series of The Great British Bake Off after charming audiences with her wild facial expressions and stunning creative bakes.

Since her win she has baked a cake for the Queen's birthday and released a series of cookbooks.

Nadiya has also had presenting success with Nadiya's British Food Adventure, looking at some of the foods the British invented, and The Chronicles of Nadiya, following her journey to Bangladesh to trace her culinary roots.

She is now set to present Bake Off rival The Big Family Cooking showdown with Zoe Ball, Rosemary Schrager and Giorgio Locatelli.

Rosemary Schrager

Rosemary Schrager is best known for being a teacher of haute cuisine and working at some of the best restaurants in London.

During her career she has worked with Jean-Christophe Novelli and Pierre Koffmann at his internationally famous Tante Claire restaurant, as well as releasing six cookbooks.

She is now set to judge The Big Family Cooking Showdown, which will see sixteen families welcome the BBC into their own kitchens to whip up dishes using their favourite family recipes.

Anita Rani

TV presenter Anita Rani will appear on The One Show to discuss the Partition of India - which was when British India was divided into India and Pakistan.

Anita learned about how Partition affected her family when she appeared on Who Do You Think You Are? in 2015, hearing how her grandfather's first wife and children died in the violence.

What time is The One Show on?

You can tune in to BBC One at 7pm on weeknights to watch the show.

Today’s episode will last 30 minutes, and will be followed by EastEnders.

Each night the presenters mix interviews with an array of celebrity guests with an eclectic mix of topics ranging from current affairs to pop culture.

It is then available on demand on the BBC iPlayer.

Can I be in The One Show audience?

Unfortunately, the One Show is not listed among the BBC shows you can apply for tickets for.

However, to be in with a chance of watching programmes from A Question of Sport to Just a Minute being made visit .

How long has The One Show been running?

The magazine style show has been running for over a decade. The first episode was aired on August 14 2006.

From 2007 to 2010 it was hosted by Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley, before Alex Jones and Jason Manford took the helm, later being replaced by Matt Baker.

Chris Evans oversaw the Friday night hour-long episodes from 2010 to 2015.

The likes of Dermot O’Leary, Phil Tufnell, Zoe Ball and Fearne Cotton are among the guest presenters who have stood in for the regular duos.
