Jeremy Kyle ‘attacked’ by giant mascot hedgehog on Good Morning Britain
The stand-in host, 52, got a shock as he was targeted by the boggle-eyed character representing the World Athletics Championships today.
GOOD Morning Britain fans were in stitches this morning after Jeremy Kyle was ATTACKED by a giant hedgehog mascot.
The stand-in presenter was lulled into a false sense of security when World Athletics Championship mascot Hero bumbled over to say hello.
But he was stunned when the mascot lurched over and smothered his face with a kiss before whacking him on the back with a rolled-up newspaper.
Jez's co-presenters Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins were left smirking at his irritation.
Getting frustrated, Jez said: "It's a great mascot.
"I'm getting annoyed with him now, I'm getting too much attention.
"Can you go now."
Jeremy, 52, then gave fans a giggle as he repeated a well-worn catchphrase from his own ITV programme, The Jeremy Kyle Show, as well as giving a nod to his security guard Steve.
He said: "Excuse me, in the words of another programme, get off my stage, go, now. Steve get him off here."

Later in the show, sports star Iwan Thomas joined the panel to discuss working with the huge hedgehog at the athletics competition.
As the critter wreaked havoc among the camera crew, Jeremy told him Hero was "the worst behaved thing we have ever had in the studio."
He added: "I don't think I have ever been more shocked in my life."
Meanwhile, Jez continued to be the subject of affection throughout the morning.
Kate simply couldn't resist STROKING him live on the show and branded him "gorgeous" as he modelled a huge fur rug as a coat.
Jeremy had scolded his co-presenter earlier in the week for her hands-on style and gentle brushes of affection while on air.
But when he pulled on the fluffy brown Ikea carpet - which featured in a segment on getting the Game Of Thrones look - the bubbly 50-year-old couldn't keep her hands off him.
After Kate repeatedly padded his shoulder he squealed: "Stop stroking me!"
The mum-of-two said: "I can't help it!
"I was told off for stroking you but this is really stroke-able!"
The pair were reunited for the first time in 14 months as regular male anchor Piers Morgan enjoys a summer holiday.
Jez also shocked viewers by revealing he will front GMB for another week.
