Jeremy Kyle reveals he’ll be hosting Good Morning Britain for another week – and viewers are furious
JEREMY Kyle has confirmed he will host Good Morning Britain for ANOTHER week - despite a huge backlash from fans.
Jezza, 52, who is standing in for regular anchor Piers Morgan, has been branded "loud" and "arrogant" by telly addicts since starting his new job this week.
Loyal viewers have also called on outspoken ex newspaper man Piers to make a speedy return, cruelly comparing talk show host Jeremy to a "Poundland Piers Morgan" in a series of blunt Twitter comments.
On today's ITV show Twitter-phobe Jeremy reluctantly revealed he will join the social media site after watching the messages come flooding in.
Co-host Kate Garraway quizzed: "Can we set you up on Twitter and you can do your first Tweet live on air this morning?"
Jeremy replied: "Not this morning, but I can do it next week.
"Because I'm coming back and you didn't know that! But there you go."
Kate and fellow presenter Charlotte Hawkins then burst out into giggles as Charlotte said: "Something for us to look forward to then."
Earlier in the conversation, Jezza said: "I tell you what, I am going to admit to the nation, which I never thought I would - and it will send the people who work on the Jeremy Kyle show into hysterical laughter.
"I sit here watching tweets every morning, never done it, I might do it."
Clearly excited, Kate Garraway spread her arms wide and said: "There you go Twittersphere!
"Unleash yourself on Jeremy."
He then quizzed: "What does that mean, unleash yourself?"
But fans on Twitter were not so delighted at the prospect of seven more days waking up with the star .
One furiously posted: "Why did they pick Jeremy Kyle anyway?!" while another put: "Wish @piersmorgan was on here now👊 #gmb"
A third raged: "That kyle bloke thinks he can speak to people like the idiots on his show.he is a know all.ignorant pig," as another put: "Jeremy Kyle on #GMB again. Turning to BBC again."
Earlier in today's programme, Jezza was forced to fend off yet another display of affection from his flirty co-host Kate.
The stand-in-host had scolded his co-presenter earlier in the week for her hands-on style and gentle brushes of affection while on air.
Today he pulled on a fluffy brown Ikea carpet - which featured in a segment on getting the Game Of Thrones look - the bubbly 50-year-old couldn't keep her hands off him.
Jez, 52, moaned: "I'm sweating like anything!" to which she replied: "You look gorgeous!"
After Kate repeatedly padded his shoulder he squealed: "Stop stroking me!"
The mum-of-two said: "I can't help it! I was told off for stroking you but this is really stroke-able!"
