Love Island’s Montana Brown puts on a brave face in first pictures since splitting with Alex Beattie – and blames HIM for the break-up
SINGLE Montana Brown put on a brave face as she was pictured on Tuesday shortly after confirming her split from Alex Beattie.
The Love Island star, 21, looked typically stylish while walking in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.
She wore a fitted grey suede jacket over a pale blue shirt, skinny black jeans and Converse trainers. A large leather handbag hung over her arms and she clutched her phone as she strolled.
Confirming her split with Alex on Twitter, she wrote: "Alex and I have decided to split.
"Making our relationship work on the outside has been hard. He hasn't been the same since coming out of the villa."
She concluded: "Despite this we are still close and I will always support him."
While Alex wrote his own statement which read: "Me and Montana met yesterday and have decided that it's best to call it a day with relationship with each other.
"It's been very hard on the outside to make us work how we desired. I still have strong feelings towards her and will be remaining close friends and supporting her throughout everything."
The former couple have only seen each other once since the reunion show, where Montana was seen leaving London nightclub Libertine with co-star Simon Searles.
On Monday, we reported that Alex was upset with the way Montana had treated him following their time in the Love Island villa.
A source close to Alex said: “Montana had everyone fooled.
“She played a game in the villa and Alex is only beginning to realise that now.
“He watched all the other couples happily post photos on Instagram and begged Montana to do the same so he knew her heart was in the right place – but she refused.
"The only pictures on her page of Alex and her were uploaded by friends and family when she was still in the villa.
“Alex feels very hurt and humiliated.”
