Love Island’s Montana Brown’s feelings for Alex Beattie were never genuine – and she refused hunk’s plea to post picture of them together

MONTANA Brown has been accused of faking her feelings for ex-boyfriend Alex Beattie, as pals close to the hunk say she played a game in the villa.

A source close to Alex said: “Montana had everyone fooled.

“She played a game in the villa and Alex is only beginning to realise that now.

“He watched all the other couples happily post photos on Instagram and begged Montana to do the same so he knew her heart was in the right place – but she refused.

"The only pictures on her page of Alex and her were uploaded by friends and family when she was still in the villa.

“Alex feels very hurt and humiliated.”

Montana and Alex secretly ended their romance before the ITV2 reunion show but attempted to put on a united front for the cameras.

The reality star has since confirmed their separation, telling The Sun: “We are doing our thing at the moment.

“I don’t know if we will have time or be able to do any joint shoots in the future.”

The couple, fifth in this year’s series, have not seen each other since the reunion show, where Montana was seen leaving London nightclub Libertine with co-star Simon Searles.

A source previously told The Sun:  source said: “Montana is keen to follow her dreams in TV and modelling.

She doesn’t like partying so personal appearances in nightclubs aren’t really her thing.

She is ambitious and very much a career woman – her relationship with Alex is going to take a back seat.”

Since the end of the show Montana has landed a deal with PrettyLittleThing as their first UK ambassador and will be jetting of to LA to work on a new project with the online fashion brand.

She recently said: “This is a dream collaboration and I’m really still shocked. I actually do wear PLT all the time so me this is perfect."

Alex was always very forthcoming with his feelings towards Montana, telling the star he had fallen in love during their time on Love Island.

But Montana refused to reciprocate and revealed on TV’s This Morning that she does not love Alex.
