EAMONN Holmes was forced to apologise for Ruth Langsford's "potty mouth" on This Morning today.
The pair, who are covering for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield over the Summer, were talking about an upcoming segment looking at how to make your relationship survive the summer.
As Eamonn reacted to new research findings which suggests breakups occur most August, his wife surprised him with her cheeky quip.
When Eamonn said: "People getting on your..."
Ruth replied with rhyming slang: "Thrupenny bits".
Eamonn's eyes widened and he jumped in shock to the comment as he said: "You can't say that."
Eamonn held back his giggles as he said: "Before Ofcom report us I'd like to apologise to any children watching for old potty mouth Langsford there!"
Ruth began to laugh as she said: "Am I allowed to say that? I just realised what it means."
"Thrupenny bits" is Cockney rhyming slang for "t**s", hence Eamonn's shocked reaction.
With Ruth still giggling, Eamonn then threw the show over to a property expert joining them on video link from New York to carry on with the show.
