Ronnie Wood’s ex wife Jo insists Rolling Stones legend will bounce back after his lung cancer ordeal

RONNIE Wood’s ex wife Jo insists he will bounce back after his lung cancer ordeal.
The 70-year-old Rolling Stone revealed at the weekend how the shock diagnosis, made three months ago, led to the darkest period of his life.
But former model Jo, 62, married to him for 26 years, insisted he’s back on form after keyhole surgery.
She said: “Ronnie will bounce back. He’s tough as old boots and completely fine now.”
Referring to the Stones’ 13 European dates next month, she added: “He’s got to be back on it as he’s going on tour.”
Dad-of-six Ronnie, now wed to third wife Sally, 39, had the op rather than chemotherapy because he didn’t want to lose his hair.
He revealed: “I’ve had a fight with a touch of lung cancer. There was a week when everything hung in the balance and it could have been curtains.”
Speaking to The Mail on Sunday he added: “I made up my mind that if it had spread, I wasn’t going to go through chemo, I wasn’t going to use that bayonet in my body. This hair wasn’t going anywhere.”
Ronnie quit his 50-year cigarette habit a week before his year-old twins Gracie and Alice were born and switched to e-cigs.
He and Jo divorced in 2011 after she caught him cheating. But she said: “If you let things fester you you become bitter.
"You can’t enjoy life. It’s better to be forgiving and happy. Ronnie is my friend.”
