CBB’s Trisha Paytas looks unrecognisable in old reality show where she admits to being a ‘tanning addict’ who uses sunbeds EVERY DAY
SHE made quite the impact when she arrived on Celebrity Big Brother last night and while many thought that was Trisha Paytas’ trademark look, it seems she used to look entirely different.
In fact, just five years ago Trisha looked completely unrecognisable - thanks to a very expensive tanning addiction.
The YouTube star appeared on My Strange Addiction, revealing she used a sunbed every day – sometimes even twice a day.
While these days Trisha has almost porcelain like skin, she was previously incredibly bronzed.
At the time she described herself as a ‘tanorexic’ and revealed her addiction started when her mum got her 40 sunbed sessions for her 14th birthday.
Despite knowing the risks, she outrageously claimed: “I’d rather look good dead and tanned, than pale and alive.”
By 2012 Trisha had racked up £23,690 in salon tanning bills, as well as £1,355 on fake tan – taking her overall spend on tanning to £33,855.
She said at the time: “It’s definitely been worth spending all that money.
“I’m in the modelling industry so I have to look good all the time.
“Some people spend way more than that on cigarettes, so I just look at tanning as my guilty pleasure.”
The CBB star said she faced bullying from an early age for her pale skin: “Girls and boys would call me the Pillsbury Doughboy because I was overweight and pasty.
“It made me feel terrible so I vowed to get thinner and always have a healthy-looking tan.”
Trish, now 29, has put the tanning addiction behind her and has now carved a career as a successful YouTube star.
Yesterday she entered the CBB house to boos and has already caused a stir after calling Jordan Davies a ‘hooker’ with ‘no talent’.
The star misunderstood Magaluf Weekender star Jordan, 25, when he told her he “showed guys and girls a good time”.
While reality star Jordan was referring to his role as a holiday rep on the ITV2 show, a confused Trisha asked: “Are you a hooker? Like an escort? You said you show guys and girls a good time?”
Laughing, Jordan said that he wasn’t an escort but cheekily asked if Trisha was looking for one.
