While monobrows are often thought of as funny, Frida Kahlo made hers into a dramatic statement.
Never one to behave as people expected, the Mexican painter refused to change the way she naturally looked, saying she liked her eyebrows and eyes.
It was also her way of challenging what it meant to be feminine - and the artist is still a trailblazer as you'll see few women on this list.
Love it or hate it, there's no denying the monobrow is a huge part of what makes Kahlo memorable - and when we think about famous tweezer-refusers, it's her that springs to mind.

So it's no surprise Liam Gallagher's not too fussed about eyebrow grooming.

He probably wouldn't dare rock a monobrow now he's one of Hollywood's biggest heart-throbs.

He said: "I've got a nice big monobrow, for the last ten years people have been telling me, pluck it out, be like everyone else.
"But Karthik – or the Big K – is not someone who is like everybody else, everybody else wants to be like Karthik."
