Coronation Street spoilers: Bethany Platt kidnapped by sex gang after putting rapists Nathan Curtis and Neil in prison

CORONATION Street's Bethany Platt's sex gang ordeal isn't over yet - as filming pictures reveal she will be kidnapped.

The schoolgirl - who is played by actress Lucy Fallon in the ITV soap - will be attacked and kidnapped by rapist groomer Nathan Curtis' accomplice Mel.

The pictures show deranged Mel, distraught at her friends and former abusers being caught, pulling Bethany by the hair out of her car.

She will drag Bethany to a railway sidings where Bethany will desperately try to escape.

Mel will threaten Bethany with a tyre iron as she tries to force the survivor to drop the charges.

But in true soap fashion, when Bethany does make a run for it, she ends up running towards an oncoming train with Mel in hot pursuit.

Bethany's recent bravery saw her escape Nathan's clutches as he attempted to sell her as a sex slave abroad.

However, when she returned home, rapist policeman Neil threatened her into silence, temporarily allowing Nathan to go free.

But when she confessed all about what had happened to her to friend Craig Tinker, the pair of them managed to expose the truth.

Now with Nathan set to rot in prison and Neil suspended from the force and facing rape and child grooming charges, it looks like Bethany could have a happy ending in sight.

Though Mel's attack may mean a tragic ending to one of the highest profile and critically-acclaimed storylines Corrie has ever produced.

An insider previously revealed that the storyline would have a happy ending for Bethany so as to encourage other survivors of grooming to come forward.

A source said: “Bethany is asked to give evidence during the trial via video link so she doesn’t have to face them.”

“Her evidence and whether she can cope is crucial to whether Nathan ends up in prison,” they added.
