Love Island’s Kem Cetinay reveals Marcel Somerville will join him and Chris Hughes to release debut single Little Bit Leave It – and they’re recording with Stormzy too
LOVE Island winner Kem Cetinay has confirmed he and BFF Chris Hughes will be releasing their very own track - and fellow islander Marcel Somerville will also be involved.
Confirming The Sun Online's exclusive story, the 21-year-old hairdresser from Essex has revealed that Blazin' Squad star Marcel has now joined their bid to set the charts alight.
Kem told : "I think me, Chris and Marcel will release Little Bit Leave It."
His girlfriend Amber Davies added: "‘It’s actually a really good song, I keep singing it. Plus the lyrics are all about me!’
The boys teamed up to perform Kem's self-penned rap to the villa earlier in the series, prompting many viewers to beg them to release the song officially as they wanted to buy it.
The Sun Online told last week how best pals Kem and Chris had caught the eye of multiple top music execs.
They frequently kept their fellow islanders in giggles with their creative raps and even drew the attention of grime star Stormzy, who took the time to Skype into the villa and give the pair pointers on their beats.
A source said: "Top record companies have approached Kem and Chris as a duo and there are big offers on the table.
“They will be releasing a single.
“Fans have fallen in love with them on the show and the boys want to make the most of their musical talents.
“It’s definitely not the last you’ll see of Kem and Chris.”
Kem has also confirmed he WILL collaborate with Stormzy, after the musician reached out to him on Twitter and called into the villa via video link to chat music with the boys.
"He was the first person I tweeted when I came out," said Kem.
"He tweeted me and said when he’s back from Australia we’re going to go round his house and go in his studio."
Kem added: "I’ve actually had loads of people from grime messaging me."
Amber joked that her other half's head would "blow up" from all the adulation, but he insisted that wasn't the case.
"It’s not going to blow up, you’ve just got to give people what they want!" he said.
MORE FROM THE VILLA
His interview came after Kem and Chris teased fans that their first single will be released in October.
They teamed up for an Instagram video on Sunday promising fans that Little Bit Leave It is "gonna be a mad ting".
Kem and Chris have been branded the "new Ant & Dec" after also catching the eye of TV bosses.
They are set to both conquer the charts and land their own reality show, after The Sun revealed ITV has been searching for a project they can star in together.
A source said: “Chris and Kem’s friendship has captured the nation – everyone has loved watching the bond they have together.
“Viewers have even called for the pair to be eligible to win this series as a twosome.
“Bosses don’t want to see an end to their bromance and are already brainstorming possible TV show ideas to pitch for when Love Island is over.
“Fans won’t be seeing the end of them just yet.”
Kem and girlfriend Amber Davies won Love Island and took home the £50,000 prize, while Chris and girlfriend Olivia Attwood finished in third place.
