The outgoing Doctor Who says he is trying to persuade writer Steven Moffat to reboot the hit 1970s comedy
OUTGOING Doctor Who Peter Capaldi wants to star in a remake of On The Buses.
Capaldi, 59, revealed he was trying to persuade writer Steven Moffat to create a new version of the classic 1970s sitcom.
He said: “I want them to do On The Buses again. I’m trying to encourage them to do it.”
And he said he had his eye on the role of nosy bus inspector Cyril “Blakey” Blake.
He added: “I have got a Blakey in me.”
Moffat, 55, has said he would be interested in remaking the show.
He said: “We are working our way through the classics, so it is bound to come up.”
Capaldi will be replaced by Jodie Whittaker, 35, after his final Doctor Who on Christmas Day.
