Channel 4’s The Jump may be transformed into a summer series to make it safer

TELLY bosses are in talks for a safer summer version of dangerous snow show The Jump.

Celebs would have a bash at sailing and water polo instead of more extreme winter sports.

Execs believe it will be a far bigger hit than The Jump, presented by Davina McCall, which is being axed.

One said: “There is a lot of interest in bringing The Jump back as a summer show.

“Instead of the ski jump, celebs could go head to head in athletics or hockey.

“Water sports would also be a good option for them.

“The idea is that as summer sports are less perilous, there would be fewer injuries.

“And contestants would be in fewer clothes which would make it sexier.”

A Channel 4 spokesman said: “We are always actively considering a range of programmes but a summer version of The Jump has not been commissioned.”
