She had an arranged marriage but children will choose partner
GREAT British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain has said she will not force her children into an arranged marriage.
The TV chef, 32, wed husband Abdal, 34, through the Muslim tradition when she was 19.
They have three kids — Musa, ten, Dawud, nine, and Maryam, six — but Nadiya insists
she will let them choose their partner when the time comes.
She said: “We need to move with the times. I don’t think they need me to find them a husband or a wife. They will do a better job than I will.”
Nadiya said her own marriage is stronger than ever. She told Good Housekeeping: “Love is strange. It creeps up on you.
"I didn’t know my husband, and then we had children, and then I fell in love with him.”
