LOVE Island fans could have their summer saved by new dating show, Make or Break?

Trading Majorca for Mexico, the Channel 5 series will see eight couples who have come to a crossroads in their relationship head to a tropical paradise to see if their relationship is make or break.

The couples will try and figure our if they are with 'The One' and if what they have is worth fighting for.

Through partner swaps and trials the show's experts will give the couples the tools to make better relationship decisions.

Like Ross and Rachel in Friends, the couples will be put 'on a break' as soon as they enter the resort.

Everyone will date each other as they swap partners every 48 hours.

Throughout their stay, they’ll face expert led behavioural workshops, a series of challenges, and sex therapies that should help them be happier as a result, whether that means staying together, or breaking up.

At the end of their stay, they’ll simply be asked to make one big final decision. Is their relationship make, or is it break?

In the trailer for the show, which begins on Monday, 7 August, the couples are pictured on the beach in matching colourful shirts and shorts.

Some of the pairings seem shocked to discover they will be swapping partners, with one boyfriend warning his girlfriend: "Don't do anything".

As another bid farewell to his girlfriend, he said: "Have fun, but not too much fun."

Clips are then shown of doors being slammed as well as two male contestants having a fight, with their partners trying to keep them apart.

Make or Break? will run for two weeks from Monday to Friday at 10pm on Channel 5.
