Harrowing 911 call reveals moment Chester Bennington’s driver and housekeeper found Linkin Park star dead
THE traumatic 911 phone call made after Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington's body was discovered has been released online.
The short call features the sound of a female housekeeper - who found the body - sobbing uncontrollably, while a male driver explains to an operator and nurse what has happened.
The rocker and dad-of-six was found dead on July 20 at the age of 41 after hanging himself in a property in Palos Verdes, California.
The call to the emergency services, published by , was made by the driver waiting to pick him up outside, who remains incredibly calm in his vehicle throughout the conversation.
Meanwhile the recording also caught the housekeeper talking to Chester's wife Talinda - who was out of town with the children - on the phone, telling her what has happened.
As the audible cries of the housekeeper go on in the background, he tells the operator: "Hi there, I just got on location, I'm a driver.
"I'm trying to pick [someone] up and the housekeeper has come out and said he's killed himself...
"I haven't seen him. The housekeeper came out and said he's... she found him dead."

He goes on to explain: "I asked 'Is he cold, is he warm?', and she said 'No, he's dead, he's been hanging', and she's talking to his wife right now....
"It's a home. I'm in Palos Verdes estates. He's mid-forties."
Then the housekeeper's shout of "Oh my God" can be heard, while a nurse asks if he's been inside the property.
"No, not at all," he concludes, before the call is ended.
The news that Chester had died, two months after his close friend Chris Cornell hanged himself, prompted an outpouring of love from fans and celebrities alike.
Linkin Park's North American dates have now been scrapped and a planned joint tour with Blink 192 has been cancelled.
