LOVE Island will return in 2018 after scoring record ratings.
ITV have recommissioned the reality series after it became the most talked about show of the summer.
It’s been the most successful series of the show to date, with a record breaking number of romps and more twists than an Alton Towers rollercoaster.
Head of Digital Channels & Acquisitions Paul Mortimer said: “At ITV2, we couldn’t be more thrilled with how Love Island fever has gripped the nation.
“Now established as the perfect series to start the summer, we’re delighted to be bringing the show back in 2018.”
The series was even extended because it proved so popular, with big name celebs including Liam Gallagher and Stormzy obsessed with the ITV2 dating show.
ITV’s Creative Director of Entertainment Richard Cowles, said the show had become “the most talked about show of the summer.”
Earlier this month, more than 2.4 million tuned in to watch the sexiest ever episode, where three couples got down and dirty in the villa.
The romp-filled instalment on ITV2 brought in a massive 2.4million, easily beating reality TV rival Big Brother which limped behind on Channel 5 with just 800,000 viewers.
And Monday’s grand final saw couples Kem and Amber, Olivia and Chris, Gabby and Marcel and Camilla and Jamie battle it out for the £50,000 big prize.
