HALLE Berry stunned fans at Comic-Con by chugging what appeared to be half a pint of whiskey during an interview panel.
The Hollywood actress, 50, was taking part in a chat about her new movie, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, when she was poured an amber coloured drink on stage.
Halle was on stage with her co-stars including Colin Firth and Channing Tatum when a bottle of whiskey was produced as a nod to the movie's plot, which revolves around a fictional drink that provides a useful front for a secret US spy organisation.
Channing poured her a hefty half-pint from the bottle - and Halle surprised everyone by gamely downing the lot rather than answer a question.
She chose to chug the 'booze' after being asked whether Kingsman or James Bond was "more British".
"I'm gonna pass," she laughed, refusing to take sides between the two film franchises, having also starred as Jinx in 007's Die Another Day.
Her co-stars, however, demanded she drink if she wouldn't answer.
"Oh, I can, you know," warned Halle. "Would you like to see that?"
Obviously the answer was yes so, taking a stand, Halle picked up her glass and, after a moment's hesitation, knocked it back as the crowd chanted her name.
The star jokingly pretended to fall back down in her chair as the audience applauded.
Jonathan Ross, who was chairing the panel, joked: "Kingsman would like to remind you to drink responsibly.
"Not like Halle Berry. She's a professional. She can handle it."
Halle has so far declined to reveal whether or not it was real whiskey in her glass, joking afterwards it will remain a "mystery" forever.
"I never drink and tell! Let that be a mystery to the world," she told . "Never dare a girl like me to do anything, because I just take the challenge."
Her 'boozy' challenge came a month after Halle denied pregnancy rumours.
The Oscar-winning actress, who is mum to Nahla, nine, and three-year-old Maceo, sparked the speculation after she was pictured on the red carpet with her hands placed on her stomach.
However, a rep shot down the claims as "completely false".
Halle herself responded by saying she'd just eaten steak and fries and told : "It happens, you know? You eat too much before an event and you become pregnant.
She split from actor husband Olivier Martinez in 2015.
