Gary Lineker flaunts £16k Hublot watch as he makes light of his £1.6m pay packet amid BBC gender gap storm
GARY Lineker is clearly enjoying his huge salary judging by this picture he has posted online.
The presenter, who has sneered at criticism of his up to £1,799,999 pay deal at the BBC, has put a holiday snap on Instagram.
He was seen wearing an expensive watch and posh sunglasses as he posed for the camera.
He wrote the words “Bit try hard” next to the picture, which was posted earlier this week.
The Match of the Day presenter has shown he is not bothered about the anger about his huge salary.
When the figures were released on Wednesday he tweeted a joke that it was an “outrage” that Chris Evans was on more than him.
Yesterday his agent added to the controversy by suggesting some women performers may get less money because they often use female agents who “are not as tough”.
