Eamonn Holmes reveals his younger brother’s life was saved just days ago by CPR on This Morning
The Northern Irishman made the revelation on today's show during a segment about first aid
EAMONN Holmes revealed his younger brother's life was saved by paramedics on Sunday morning.
The 57-year-old made the admission on today's This Morning during a segment about first aid and CPR.
Presenting his guest Carol, who had saved the life of her first aid trainer when he went into cardiac arrest during their training session, with a certificate, Eamonn revealed the topic was very close to his heart at the moment.
He said: "This is particularly poignant to me, because just three days ago, on Sunday morning my own baby brother had to be revived by an ambulance team.
"So thank you to that ambulance team who carried out CPR on him."
While Eamonn didn't elaborate on which of his four brothers had had his life saved, he was clearly relieved his sibling was on the mend.
Back in May, the Northern Irishman shared a rare snap with two of his siblings enjoying a drink together.
While Eamonn and wife Ruth Langsford are firmly in the limelight as hosts of the daytime TV show and their other projects, they keep the rest of their family life relatively private.
But Eamonn took to Twitter to share a post a photo of himself with two of his siblings during a trip back to Belfast.
They cradled their beers and awkwardly smiled at the camera.
He tweeted: “Great day hanging out with some of my brothers . Belfast is like The Riviera this week ! ☀️☀️☀️.”
His followers loved the snap – though some reckoned that one of his brothers looked remarkably like Ray Winstone.
