What is Liar and when is it on ITV?
Liar finishes tonight (Monday, October 16) at 9pm on ITV.
The sixth episode goes head-to-head with Rellik on BBC One, Abortion on Trial on BBC Two, George Michael: Freedom on Channel 4 and Inside The Railway on Channel 5.
Liar is a six-part thriller starring Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt and Welsh Fantastic Four actor Ioan Gruffudd.
Written by Bafta-winning Harry and Jack Williams, it began filming in 2016.
A trailer for the show aired on the channel in July 2017.
The tag line for the show is a quote by Aesop, which reads: "Every truth has two sides; it is as well to look at both, before we commit to either.”
What is Liar about?
Liar tells the story of a teacher who is swept up into a romance with a surgeon whose son studies at her school.
They go on a date and that single night "changes their lives forever".
A statement on the story reads: "Neither fully realises the far-reaching consequences that their meeting will have on each other or their families.
"Truth and consequences go hand in hand in a gripping thriller that examines both sides of a relationship and both sides of the truth.”
The drama is also set to provide a "21st-century take on modern-day gender politics" as well as being a "compelling emotional thriller".
Who stars in the show?
Joanne Froggatt stars as the teacher Laura, while Ioan Gruffudd plays the surgeon Andrew.
Liar also stars Zoe Tapper as Katy, Warren Brown as Tom, Richie Campbell as Liam and Shelley Conn as Vanessa.
Seeing as Froggatt has played some dark roles in her time, most recently playing serial killer Mary Ann Cotton, it's fair to assume the show will venture into some murky territory.
