Ruth Langsford shares holiday snaps with Eamonn Holmes before returning to This Morning
The married couple taking over hosting duties from Holly and Phil this summer
EAMONN Holmes and wife Ruth Langsford enjoyed one last hurrah as their summer holiday ended and they prepared to return to work on This Morning.
The married TV duo have been taking a well-earned break from screens to soak up the sun abroad, and decided to share a few snaps with fans on Twitter to mark the end of their sunny break.
Of course, this being Eamonn and Ruth, there was a cheeky element to their happy holiday photos, with naughty Eamonn playfully tugging at his wife’s off-the-shoulder black top as if to pull it off completely.
They also shared a kiss for the cameras and posed poolside at their lush looking holiday destination, as well as giving fans a glimpse of Ruth’s brightly patterned bikini hanging on a clothing line.
Ruth told fans: “So, the holiday is over! Me & Eamonn Holmes back to work on This Morning tomorrow. Hope you can join us 10.30 am ITV."
They’re stepping in to replace regular This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who are on their annual summer break until September.
Eamonn and Ruth have been promoted from their Friday slot to full-time anchors of the ITV daytime show, taking over the reins from Monday to Thursday, with a new pair of presenters doing the honours on a Friday so Eamonn and Ruth can have a rest.
“We never know what’s coming up because we have to be news reactive, but I just love being out filming the show on London’s South Bank in the summer when people come up to chat to us,” Ruth recently told .
Eamonn added: “More of the show will be outside, which is joyous. But we don’t want too much good weather, because we want people to be indoors watching telly! It will be nice because it’ll be the first time I’ve done summer on This Morning without having done breakfast TV earlier in the day.”
It’s shaping up to be a rather busy year for Ruth as it’s rumoured she’s in talks to appear in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
A source recently told the : “Ruth has always been a big fan of the show, and producers are thrilled that she has changed her mind and will be taking part this year.
“No one has signed any contracts for the show this year but she has had long talks with show bosses and, barring any injury, will be waltzing her way onto the show this autumn.
“Eamonn is really excited about cheering her on.”
A rep for Ruth said it was “just speculation” when approached by The Sun Online, while a spokesperson for BBC has agreed, saying the full line up will be announced in due course.
