Kerry Katona shares inspirational ‘strength through hard times’ Instagram post after revelations of husband George Kay’s two hour rooftop meltdown
The couple split just days before the incident
KERRY Katona posted words of support for her estranged husband on Instagram after it was revealed he suffered a meltdown on a rooftop in Liverpool.
The singer claimed she wasn't aware of the exact goings on but appreciated the support she's received from her fans.
She posted earlier today: "Still on the road! Haven't read the papers! But thank you all for your messages. (Prayer and kissing emojis)
Strength through hard times!"
And hours later she posted another inspirational message, which read: "If God puts me on a rough path he will provide me with strong shoes. (Prayer and kissing emojis) Sweet dreams."
Sportsman George's worrying episode has led to concerns for his mental well-being after details of the incident emerged.
Lasting over two hours, the incident saw police called to an address in Formby, Liverpool, earlier this month where George was found lying on the rooftop.
Pictures of the incident see George lying with his hands covering his genitals as police, fire crew and local residents tried to talk him down.
A source told the Daily Star: “Most of [what he said] was pretty incoherent, but every now and then he screamed ‘help me’.”
The witness also claimed that he was screaming that someone was trying to shoot him, and that he never went near the edge of the rooftop, instead opting to stay in its centre.
Merseyside Police later confirmed that they were present when the incident occurred.
In a statement, they said: “Officers were called at 4.05pm to reports a man was on the roof of a property.”
The team on site were eventually able to coax him down, and it is believed that he wasn’t given hospital treatment.

The incident involving George came just days after it was announced that he was splitting from Atomic Kitten star Kerry after three years following a string of rows.
Mum-of-five Kerry has one child with George – three-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge, also known as DJ.
A source close to the singer revealed: “Tensions reached breaking point about a month ago and it all came to head when George told Kerry that he was tired of acting as a nanny to her kids.
“He is sick of being stuck at home, while Kerry was able to swan about and do what she pleased.”
They had previously split in 2015, following claims he assaulted her, but the claims were later withdrawn and George was acquitted for the incident.
The couple reunited in August that year.
