Cheryl unfollows Sarah Harding on Twitter as former Girls Aloud bandmate prepares to enter Celebrity Big Brother
CHERYL has dished out the ultimate social media snub to Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding – and unfollowed her on Twitter.
Her cull came as the bubbly blonde prepares to star in the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.
The Sun on Sunday’s Bizarre column revealed the Geordie lass – who previously followed former party animal Sarah – had recently removed her from her account, meaning she will no longer receive updates on her preparations for the reality show.
Sarah, who it was recently revealed had bedded married EastEnders star Danny Dyer, will also no longer be able to direct message her pal on the website.
Call My Name singer Cheryl’s snub comes after she recently followed former X Factor contestant Cher Lloyd, whom she mentored on the ITV show.
The pair subsequently endured a public fall-out so the re-kindling of contact could rub further salt into Sarah’s wounds.
New mum Cheryl, who gave birth to her son with Liam Payne in March, has been rather sparse on her Twitter page of late.
Yet she recently liked a host of messages about her boyfriend’s debut solo single, Strip That Down, with fans flagging it was the fastest selling single of those from his former band 1D.
Prior to that, she wished her followers in London a happy Pride in July.
She took to her page at the end of June for a gushing post birthday message directed at her loyal followers, in which she wrote: “Thank you so much for all of my lovely birthday wishes ☺️ I have had the best day/night 💐🎊🎉 Love you all lots 💖”
Meanwhile Cheryl switched to her Instagram page to reveal her new blonde hairstyle this month.
The new mum was glowing as she showed off her new style to her three million Instagram followers.
It is a stark contrast to her normally darker locks.
Yet her next career move remains a mystery.
Today, Simon Cowell sensationally denied offering Cheryl a huge pay cheque to return to The X Factor, slamming the suggestions as “bulls***.”
The show’s head honcho reinforced his dismissal of the claims by adding he had not chatted with the former judge since she gave birth to her son, Bear, in March.
Last week, it was suggested Simon was set to fork out £500,000 on a new contract for the star to appear as a guest for this year’s judges’ houses stage.
A source told the : “Simon wants to pull out all the stops for this year’s show and bagging Cheryl’s long-awaited return to telly would be one of his top wishes.”
Yet the straight-taking dad-of-one has shunned the suggestions and “It’s bulls***.”
He added: “I haven’t spoken to her in six months.”
