Love Island bosses have confirmed date of this year’s final… and reveal it will be broadcast live
It will come to a dramatic conclusion on Monday, July 24
THE Love Island final will take on Monday July 24, The Sun’s Bizarre column can exclusively reveal.
This year’s series will come to a dramatic conclusion in a live episode – with fans expected to hold Love Island parties and events to see the ultimate winner crowned.
At the end of each series of Love Island the couple with the most votes from the public get the opportunity to walk away £50,000 that is shared between them.
However, in previous years if one of the winning pair opts NOT to share the cash, they get to keep it for themselves, leaving the other with nothing.
It comes as Caroline Flack accidentally let slip that the show's prize could change this year.
Earlier this week she said: "There is £50,000 that they share."
"If you saw it last year it gets to a point where you can, erm, actually it might change this year so."
There’s a big twist set to rock the villa tonight as viewers were asked whether they wanted to send two new boys in or let ex-residents Mike Thalassitis and Sam Gowland return.
Chris Hughes receives a text asking the islanders to gather around the fire pit before a message to Kem Cetinay reveals two new boys will enter the villa.
But little do the islanders know that the boys joining them could be two very familiar faces.
Meanwhile, Montana Brown and lover Alex Beattie enjoy a romantic picnic date in tonight’s episode of the show.
Alex confesses his feelings to Montana, admitting he’s never connected with anyone else in the same way before.
Alex says: “I don’t know how to put it into words because I’ve not had to say it before but it’s a new experience to have someone in my life that I can just have a really good time with.
“It’s so easy with you, it’s so easy for me to get along with you, talk to you, you’ve made me feel like I’ve connected with you really well and I’ve never really had that before.”
MORE FROM THE VILLA
Montana reciprocates by telling Alex she’s got genuinely feelings for him and can’t fault for him for anything.
The pair could be strong contenders to win the show – while Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen are also some of this season’s favourites.
Tyla Carr was devastated following last night’s episode after her former partner Jonny Mitchell was dumped from the villa.
Jonny and Tyla received the fewest public votes from the public and had to decide between themselves who should leave.
Following his exit Jonny refused to deny that him and Tyla had sex – hinting that viewers may not have seen the full extent of their intimacy.
The pair spent several nights together while living in the show’s villa, but were not seen having sex on screen.
And Jonny did little to dispel suspicions that there was more to the romance than an innocent kiss.
He said: “Can I not answer that? Am I under contract to answer? I will leave it to your imagination. A gentleman never tells.”
