CORONATION Street’s Bethany Platt’s rape ordeal is set to end as her rapist Neil is arrested.
The news comes after Bethany’s friend Craig Tinker encourages her to report the corrupt policeman.
Next week viewers will see Bethany phone the police to report Neil.
Awash with shame Bethany describes how her ex-boyfriend, and sexual predator, Nathan Curtis cajoled her into having sex with Neil.
DC Leigh assures her that Neil will feel the full force of the law.
In the police station, DC Leigh tells Neil that the Chief Inspector wants to see him.
Knowing the game is up, Neil shoots a look of hatred at Craig, who is standing nearby.
Later DC Leigh calls at Bethany’s house and assures her and her mum Sarah that she’s confident they now have enough evidence to bring charges.
Meanwhile, last night’s episode saw Bethany come face to face with Neil.
Her mum Sarah unwillingly invited her daughter’s rapist round to the Platts’ for a chat to settle her fears about sick Nathan’s imminent release.
The schoolgirl tried to hide her shock, but was left traumatised when Neil threatened her and told her to claim she loved the sex ring’s hideous sex parties and made the rape allegations up.
