From endorsements to nightclub appearances, this is how the Love Island ‘stars’ could rake in up to £250,000-a-year after leaving the show

THIS year’s Love Island stars could earn hundreds of thousands of pounds once they leave the show.

While the programme is supposed to be about romance, beautiful 20-somethings see it as a path to fame and fortune.

In a world of Instagram deals and celebrity endorsements, becoming a reality star is seen as the dream career for youngsters up and down the country.

But a top PR expert has warned that while there is a lot of money to be made, only two of this year’s Islanders will make it big – and they’re likely to be female.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, the insider explained: “If they work hard they can make hundreds of thousands of pounds – regardless of whether they win or not.

“But once they come out it’s dog eat dog and they have to make sure they stand out. It’s a full time job to become famous and they’ve got a hard road ahead if they really want to be a big name and make decent money.

“A personal appearance in a nightclub can bring in £2,000 or, if you get a deal with a fashion brand, you could earn £10,000 up front and £5,000 to £10,000 every month thereafter depending on sales.”

Our expert reveals the girls in this year’s show have the best chance of making mega-bucks off the back of the ITV2 dating show.

Since departing Love Island, Jessica Shears has been out nearly every night – getting pictured at numerous events in sexy outfits and posting sultry snaps on Instagram which regularly clock up over 40,000 likes.

The 24-year-old has also started to re-brand herself and now calls herself Jessica Rose.

If she is wearing a particular clothing brand, or using a particular product, she could be paid hundreds of pounds for one social media post alone. More established celebs can earn thousands.

Jess' constant exposure is already making her one of this year’s most popular contestants.

Our guru said: “The girls can rake in more cash than the boys. They need to be getting photographed at every event going.  It's so important for them to keep their names in the public domain."

As well as becoming popular with the public, a celebrity partner is a must – which could be tricky for any couples coming out of the show.

The celebrity expert explained: “Bagging a boyfriend or girlfriend who’re already famous is a must. It boosts their profile and makes them even more desirable.”

But couples shouldn’t panic as they can also make thousands from selling themselves as a brand.

Since winning Love Island last year, Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen have been incredibly successful and our expert believes they are a prime example of how to make money out of romance.

They said: “Couples have to be clever and do everything to make their relationship known.

“Magazines are always keen on signing up the couples then, if they prove popular, they could go on to sort deals out for the first wedding and baby pictures which could earn them thousands.

“Couples have to sort out photo opportunities as quickly as they can, these can get them big money. They need to make sure they are always being pictured.”

With so many contestants in this year’s competition, only a lucky few will actually make it big and the industry can be cut-throat.

Our expert explained: “If they simply go out and get p****d and do no work then people will forget them in an instant.

“They need to look good all the time, being famous is a full time job and you don’t get a day off.

“How many names can you remember from last year? It’s probably four at a push – the others are nobody’s now.

“Another thing to remember is that while their image is everything, they have to make sure they don’t forget they went on Love Island.

“Some people come out and want to be classy but they can’t be fake.

“You were having sex on TV, people love that and it’s your brand. People want little dresses and glamour – not someone pretending they’re posh when they’re not.”
