Sex on Love Island could ‘ruin your life’, warns former islander and Miss GB Zara Holland
Former Love Island star Zara Holland has urged the current islanders to think twice before having sex on the show
LOVE Island stars will regret it for the rest of their lives if they have sex on the show, ex-islander Zara Holland has warned.
The former Miss GB says her romp on camera ruined her life and says it could do the same to current crop if they make the same error.
Her time in the villa last year was marred by controversy when she had sex with Alex Bowen.
Zara’s Miss GB title was taken away by bosses of the pageant sparking a huge feminism debate.
And today she urged this year's islanders to consider their jobs and any future children they may have, telling the Sun’s Bizarre column at the her decision to have sex in the hideaway “cost me everything”.
It comes after Jessica Shears and Dominic Lever and Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies all had sex in the villa in this year’s series.
And Montana Brown and Olivia Attwood both performed sex acts on Alex Beattie and Chris Hughes respectively.
Zara, 21, said: “I would say think about it before you do it.
“If you have kids they will see that. You know what kids are like in school.
“But it's Love Island - some contestants go on there to find love, I don't know about all of them.
“Why is sex such a big thing? If they’re together from day one and they’re there to the end, it’s only seven weeks – not even two months - in the real world would you see someone every day? No
“So a relationship is going to progress in there. Let's face it - everybody does do it [have sex]. All I'll say is think before you do it.
“You've got to live with that for the rest of your life.
MORE FROM THE VILLA
“Why not wait until the privacy in your own home? There's nothing wrong with that, but if it's in the hideaway I don't think there's a problem.
“I didn't do anything in the public bedroom I just made that biggest mistake of my life in the hideaway - and that's cost me everything.”
Following her exit from the villa and not being able find love, Zara has thrown into a debate over her dethroning.
It was such a big deal for her she said it was like losing her job.
She added: “They’re in a very different position to me because they didn’t have a title to lose.
“But if they're in work, in an office, as a PT, it's still a job. Mine was still a job title.
“So the way it happened wasn't very nice. Everyone's got to do what they've got to do. I just hope they don't come out regretting it like I did.”
