Gogglebox’s Tapper family lose weight after dad is diagnosed with diabetes and daughter is fat shamed

GOGGLEBOX's Tapper family have slimmed down after dad Jonathan was diagnosed with diabetes and daughter Amy was fat shamed.
The whole family have now lost weight after they embarked on a health kick.
The family recently decided to overhaul their diets after doctors told Jonathan, 50, he was suffering from type 2 diabetes.
Amy, 17, was also spurred on to adopt a new healthy eating and fitness regime after she was taunted by cruel online trolls over weight.
She has now shed a massive two stone, while her dad has lost seven pounds.
Mum Nikki, 44, who battled breast cancer in 2011, also joined in the family health kick along with son Josh, 19.
They all had a full body MOT at a branch of LloydsPharmacy, undergoing checks on their blood pressure, BMI and cholesterol.
Jonathan, who works as a chauffeur, put his weight troubles down to driving around all day and not eating properly.
He also underwent back surgery last year which has limited his movement and stopped him exercising.
Jonathan told the Mail Online: "Being a driver, I've got used to grabbing food on the go.

"Now, I try to opt for healthy choices like salads or boiled eggs as snacks.
"I plan to sign up to the gym, but even from just making some small changes I've lost half a stone."
Amy, who is a trainee hairdresser, has lost the most weight since overhauling her lifestyle and put the changes down to eating a protein-rich, low-carb diet.
She has made simple changes such as swapping regular potatoes for sweet potatoes and is now tracking her daily steps.
The teen said: "I've made really positive lifestyle changes by focussing more on protein and reducing my carbs, by swapping white potatoes for sweet potatoes for example.
"I'm always on my feet in my job but I've got a step tracker to make sure I'm getting in 10,000 steps a day."
Mum Nikki got a clean bill of health after the tests, but has joined in the fitness and diet overhaul anyway.
She is encouraging the whole family to eat more healthy food, with smaller portions of starchy carbs such as potatoes and rice.
Her son Josh, 19, also had good results, but he has stepped up his gym routine and now trains almost every day.
He said: "I do a mixture of cardio and weights at the gym, I used to go once a week but now I train most days."
