Love Island’s Marcel hints the Blazin’ Squad will reunite when he leaves the villa
LOVE Island's Marcel Somerville has hinted he could reunite with Blazin' Squad once his time in the villa is up.
The reality star was a member of the noughties hip hop group which had hits with Crossroads and Flip Reverse.
While Marcel is currently enjoying himself on the ITV2 hit reality show, he admitted during a chat in the Beach Hut he would be open to rejoining his former band mates once he's back in the real world.
He said: "Right now I don't think it's the right time for the squad to reunite.
"Obviously I'll come out of there and we'll probably do some gigs but I don't know whether or not it'll be the full 10, but you never know.
"You might get lucky and we might do a one off but I'm throwing it out there. It's not a definite but there's possibilities in the near future that might happen.
"But there's also possibilities that in the near future we could all get back together and do a couple of songs - maybe do an album.
"You got to give us time mate. Everyone's doing their own little things.
"It's a patience game man. Getting 10 people together is really hard these days."
Marcel was in the Beach Hut to answer viewers Twitter questions, and he admitted he hoped his girlfriend Gabby - who he met on the show - didn't choose him because of his music success.
He said: "I hope me being in the Blazin' Squad wasn't the deal breaker for me and Gabby hooking up.
"I literally feel like the fact that everyone in the villa, when she came in, was like 'Marcel's the best guy in the villa, he's the nicest, he's a gentleman' and he's obviously good looking as well.
"I think I've got loads of stuff going for me so I don't think it's just my Blazin' Squad status."
