RUTH Langsford is a beloved TV presenter on the British screen and has been hosting ITV's This Morning with ex-husband Eamonn Holmes for over 15 years.
After being married for the past 14 years the pair announced their divorce and here is what you need to know about the Loose Women panellist.
Ruth Langsford was born in Singapore on March 17, 1960, and is a presenter best known for her roles on Loose Women and This Morning.
The star was raised across several different countries in her first ten years of life before eventually settling in the UK.
She made her presenting debut in 1997 on The Really Useful Show, and since then she has mainly worked with ITV.
The exceptions to this include How the Other Half Lives for Channel 5 which she presented with her husband Eamonn Holmes and her own QVC segment titled Ruth Langsford's Fashion Edit.
The pair presented ITV's special broadcast of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding on Friday, October 12, 2018.
On June 20, 2019, Ruth announced that her elder sister, Julia, had suddenly passed away.
Julia, 62, was found dead at her home on Monday, June 17, 2019, with Ruth cancelling her TV appearances until further notice following her death.
Paying tribute to her sibling on Instagram, the presenter wrote: "My lovely sis Julia has sadly died after a very long illness.
"My heart is completely broken.
"She was the kindest and most gentle soul and I will miss her forever."
Concluding, she added: "As I am sure you will appreciate I need to take time to grieve with my family.
"Thank you for your understanding."
Ruth Langsford has her son Jack Alexander Holmes with ex husband Eamonn Holmes.
Jack was born on February 26, 2002 in London.
He studied broadcast journalism at Salford University.
Ruth told about Jack leaving for university: "That first week of not having him at home literally felt like part of my heart ripped out.
"I kept his bedroom door shut.
"I remember coming into his bedroom and crying and getting hold of the pillow, and I could smell him on the pillow, and had a good old cry, and then shutting the door and then that first week was horrendous because I was just so used to having him around."
Eamonn has three other children from his first marriage to Gabrielle Holmes - daughter Rebecca, and sons Declan and Niall.
Ruth is currently estimated to have a net worth of £3.8million in sole earnings according to several estimation websites.
This is taking into account her long-standing roles on ITV and her claim to the £3million house she shares with her ex-husband.
However, this number is just an estimation and doesn't take into account Eamonn's earnings.
Ruth and Eamonn became engaged in 2009 and they married at Elvetham Hall in Hampshire in June 2010.
They met in 1997 after they were introduced through a mutual friend, TV presenter Sally Meen.
Their wedding was attended by TV presenters Gloria Hunniford and Jeremy Kyle, EastEnders actress Zoe Lucker and former champion boxer Barry McGuigan.
On Saturday May 25, 2024 it was announced that the pair had split up and filed for divorce.
They confirmed their split through a representative, who said: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."
The pair has not shared a statement on their divorce yet, however sources close to the pair say that a ‘statement is being prepared’ by Ruth’s representatives which will share the news with their followers.
A source told : "Ruth and her team have been telling their friends to look out for the comments, which they are planning to put on social media.
"It’s a very sorry tale. They are both so loved by the British public, they won over so many people on This Morning which they hosted for more than a decade.
"They were as close to Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan as you could get."

In an interview with her colleagues Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, she said: "It's everything I thought it would be and everything I dreamt it would be - with bells on."
