This Morning viewers shocked by poly-amorous couple who open up about their VERY unusual relationship
Ed and Maya say they're open to being in a committed relationship with a third person and also have separate partners
THIS Morning viewers were left shocked by a polyamorous couple who opened up about their very unusual relationship on today's show.
Married couple Ed and Maya said dating other people made their marriage stronger but some viewers weren't convinced.
The couple said they fight less because they have other partners to discuss things with rather than just each other.
The couple are parents to a 14 month old son called Harry and Holly was amazed Maya wasn't jealous of Ed having other relationships while she was pregnant.
Holly said: "A lot of people will be wondering how jealousy doesn't rear its ugly head and I imagine when you're pregnant and you're vulnerable and then you've got another partner. How do control your feelings then?"
Maya replied: "I was really lucky and I had a really easy pregnancy, I never felt threatened like 'she's more attractive than me because she doesn't have a giant bump' but just because I'm pregnant it didn't change who we are."
They later revealed how they would be open to being in a "trouple" where three people are in a committed relationship together.
Ed identifies as bi-curious while Maya is bisexual and said they'd be open to sharing their life with someone if they met the right person, be it a man or a woman.
He explained: "It could be Maya dating someone and then we both start seeing them and I would go on dates with them as well."
The couple also said they often cuddle on the couch with Ed's girlfriend and Maya doesn't mind if he kisses her while they're all sitting together.

Many viewers at home couldn't wrap their heads around the unusual dynamic, while others thought it was "natural".
Many took to Twitter to express their views on the subject with one writing: "Polyamory. Just not my bag. Surely it's just having your cake and eating it? @thismorning".
Another said: "This is just wrong. Don't be together if you want to be with other people #thismorning".
However, others were more open to the idea of being in a relationship with multiple partners at the same time.
One said: "@thismorning #poly makes sense, you have friends who you do different things with, so different people for different relationship needs".
Another added: "Each to their own but I'll never understand polyamarous relationships
#ThisMorning".
Someone else wrote: "I really enjoyed the poly segment #ThisMorning if they are happy there should be NO issue. Its only unhappy people who are bothered by this".
