Remember Playboy model Nikki Ziering from the first ever series of Love Island? Here’s what she’s doing now
LOVE Island is one of the most popular shows on the TV this summer but, during the first ever season in 2005, ratings were dwindling - and a Playboy model was sent in to spice things up.
Former Playmate Nikki Ziering was brought into Celebrity Love Island as it failed to rival Big Brother and attracted less than 2 million viewers.
She certainly played her role well - enjoying a steamy seven and a half minute shower with former Hollyoaks actor Paul Danan.
Nikki was accused of being a "sex mad slapper" while Paul said he wanted to find a girl who was more "real".
Presenter Jane Middlemiss and nightclub manager Fran Cosgrave went on to win the show and Nikki headed back to America.
The now 45-year-old, who was crowned Playmate Of The Month in 1997, graced the cover of the infamous lad's mag twice - in August 1997 and July 2003.
Prior to Love Island, the swimwear model had starred in I'm A Celebrity (Get Me Out Of Here!) in 2003 and Austin Powers In Goldmember in 2002.
After flying home from Fiji, Nikki got gigs in Celebrity Paranormal Project, in 2006, and became a contestant on Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling in 2008.
Californian Nikki also became a sideline reporter for series the Ultimate Blackjack Tour, and co-hosted The Grill with Vernon Kay.
She had a daughter, called Tatum Ella Reynolds, with partner Rick Reynolds in March 2009.
