Holly Willoughby fights back tears on This Morning as she comforts bereaved parents whose children killed themselves because of bullying

HOLLY Willoughby appeared to fight back tears on This Morning today as she comforted guests whose children took their own lives because of constant bullying.

The bubbly presenter couldn't hide her emotions as she watched her guests tear up as they opened up about their struggle to deal with the loss of their children.

Holly, 36, and her co-host Phillip Schofield had been joined by parents Mark and Anita Abel who spoke about the moment they learned their son Sam had taken his own life because of the bullying he endured in school and on social media.

As the pair admitted they sometimes felt they were to blame for the tragedy, Holly began to get emotional.

She pleaded: "You mustn't think like that, you mustn't."

The host then spoke to Nicola Harteveld, whose daughter took her life just a month before Sam did, and Holly was overcome with emotion after Nicola began to cry.

The This Morning presenter's voice cracked as she asked: "What can we do as parents? You get to the point where you're not the only parents we've spoken to who have lost children under these circumstances and each and every one is wrong."

She continued: "What can we do to change this? What makes the difference?"

The interviews were conducted as part of This Morning's Be Kind campaign which aims to save the lives of young victims of bullying.
