Police chief Anne Berit Lian said: “At present, one cannot determine who is behind the speed violations. The investigation is aimed at uncovering this.
Permits to exceed the speed limit have been revoked.”
A BBC spokesman said: “We are fully co-operating with the police.”
Romsdal was meant to have been a location in 2016 featuring a Ferrari and a Lamborghini.
Back then Chris Evans was host.
The cars were shipped over, road closures booked and helicopters organised.
But the £250,000 shoot was axed after cops refused to budge over the 50mph limit.
