EAMONN Holmes left his wife Ruth Langsford gobsmacked as he revealed he had spent time with a sex robot in Soho.

The This Morning guest host and his wife had been chatting to Rylan Clark-Neal on Friday's show when Eamonn revealed he had conducted an interview with a sex robot the day before.

The conversation had started in relation to popular London nightclub, G A Y, when Eamonn said: "I went past the G I Y yesterday."

Ruth laughed: "You mean G A Y. What were you doing in soho?"

Her husband then looked a bit sheepish as he replied: "Well, I was waiting… I had to do an interview with a sex robot.

Ruth and their co-presenter Rylan  looked shocked and laughed as Ruth quipped: "Did you? You had to? You just had to do it?”

Rylan then asked: "You didn’t have to trial did ya?"

And Ruth cheekily replied: "I don’t mind a night off", to which Rylan replied: "He might learn something."

Laughter could be heard from others in the studio as the rest of the This Morning crew reacted to the hilarious quip.

The show also saw Ruth and Eamonn interview Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson and his husband Carl.

The new fathers had been on the ITV programme to speak about their new documentary, Raised By Queers.
