Eiza Gonzalez praises ‘girl’s girl’ Lily James and admits she put extra female energy into her role in testosterone-fuelled new film Baby Driver

EIZA Gonzalez and Lily James dazzled in gorgeous summer ballgowns at the premiere for their new movie Baby Driver, with the Hollywood beauties bringing a whole lot of Girl Power along with them.

Actress Eiza, 27, sizzled in a stunning floor-length cream mesh gown with purple floral detailing to add a pop of colour.

The partially sheer fabric clung to her toned body and highlighted her trim waist, while the separate flowing skirt had a quirky, boho edge.

Eiza pulled her raven hair back into a pretty braid and chose huge gold earrings to accessorise as she walked the red carpet for the movie premiere in London.

She was closely followed by co-star Lily, who she gushed was a "beautiful human being".

At this evening's event in Leicester Square the Mexican, who plays Darling, told The Sun Online: "I love Lily but it was sad because we only had one scene together but we were very supportive of each other.

"She's such a beautiful human being, not only so talented but amazing and such a down to earth girl and to be honest, a girls girl, and to find those are one in a million."

British actress Lily, who takes on the character of Debora, channelled Eiza's summer vibe in an elegant blue frock with a huge split up the front.

Delicately stitched sequins across the design gave a shimmering effect as the pretty brunette walked the carpet in the late London sunshine.

She matched her black strappy heels to the straps on her dress and kept her long hair in loose waves.

After striking an expert pout for the waiting photographers, she flashed a smile as she lapped up the attention.

American Jamie Foxx cut a dapper figure in a smart blue suit which he wore with a crisp white shirt.

He played up to the cameras as he posed with his arms outstretched before looking effortlessly cool with a sultry look.

Ansel Elgort, who plays getaway driver Baby in the flick, plumped for a classic black suit and tie while House of Cards actor Kevin Spacey opted for a less formal blue jacket and jeans.

Kevin, who takes on the character of top crime boss Doc in the film, pulled off the sporty look with style posing in sunglasses with his hands on his hips.

He was joined by Jon Hamm, who took time to pose for a host of selfies with his adoring fans.

Talking of her snogging scenes with Jon, Eiza told us: "I have a lot of kissing scenes with Jon.

"Jon is amazing. He's beautiful and whatever and he knows it. He's a beautiful soul, a great actor, a great co-worker and companion. He understands the warts of developing a great chemistry for the role. He made me feel at home and was such a gentleman always."

She added: Listen, we had no time (to freshen up between kisses) when you see a scene with three seconds of kiss it means nine hours of making out.

"There was a moment where I was like dude I need some coffee, I need to eat. It's a job, I don't look at it like 'oooo I get to make out with Jon'.

"I've got to be professional do the right thing, Say the right lines, be focused on my character."

The plotline tells the tale of Baby, who has been coerced into working for gangland honcho Doc, taking on a heist which is doomed to failure.

Other famous faces who turned up to the glam event included Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams, former Towie favourite Mark Wright and popstar Dua Lipa.
