about the pregnancy, Jennifer, who plays scheming Mercedes in the Channel 4 soap, said: “We were very, very excited.
“The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, really.”
They added that they didn't put any pressure on themselves and just thought that if it did happen, it would be amazing.
Greg joked: “Then we realised I have super-swimmers, so it was easy!”
Jennifer revealed she was in Liverpool and Greg in Newcastle when she found out the news so she Facetimed him.
She said: “He didn’t know I was doing the pregnancy test. No one knew I was pregnant!”
The couple decided not to find out the sex until the baby was born.
Jennifer said at the time: "I feel like I’m the one who’s got to go through labour, so if I’ve got a little surprise at the end, it might get me through however many hours it’s going to be!"
But Geordie Shore star Greg was wrongly convinced it was a girl. He said: "I dreamt it. A little girl ran to me."
Their happy news comes just over a year after Jennifer broke down on set while filming heartbreaking scenes in which her character, Mercedes McQueen, had a stillbirth.
