Jennifer Metcalfe gives birth to first baby with her Geordie Shore boyfriend Greg Lake at her side
JENNIFER Metcalfe has given birth to a baby boy, The Sun Online can reveal.
The Hollyoaks actress had her partner Greg Lake by her side as she went into labour.
Greg was spotted yesterday rushing into a hospital in Newcastle clutching an enormous bunch of flowers.
The Sun exclusively revealed back in February that the Hollyoaks star was “over the moon” to be pregnant with her first child with boyfriend of four years Greg.
Speaking to about the pregnancy, Jennifer, who plays scheming Mercedes in the Channel 4 soap, said: “We were very, very excited.
“The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, really.”
They added that they didn't put any pressure on themselves and just thought that if it did happen, it would be amazing.
Greg joked: “Then we realised I have super-swimmers, so it was easy!”
Jennifer revealed she was in Liverpool and Greg in Newcastle when she found out the news so she Facetimed him.
She said: “He didn’t know I was doing the pregnancy test. No one knew I was pregnant!”
The couple decided not to find out the sex until the baby was born.
Jennifer said at the time: "I feel like I’m the one who’s got to go through labour, so if I’ve got a little surprise at the end, it might get me through however many hours it’s going to be!"
But Geordie Shore star Greg was wrongly convinced it was a girl. He said: "I dreamt it. A little girl ran to me."

Their happy news comes just over a year after Jennifer broke down on set while filming heartbreaking scenes in which her character, Mercedes McQueen, had a stillbirth.
Jennifer was previously left heartbroken after her boyfriend and professional skater Sylvan Longchambon left her for Corrie's Samia Ghadie, who he was paired up with on Dancing On Ice.
But she found love again after she began dating Greg in January 2013.
A spokesperson for the actress confirmed the baby news in a statement, "We are delighted to announce that our client Jennifer Metcalfe and partner Greg Lake welcomed a baby boy into the world yesterday. Mother and baby are doing fine."
