Big Brother’s ratings plunge to less than half of Love Island’s as the saucy show wins the reality TV war
BIG Brother's ratings have plunged after going against Love Island in the reality TV battle.
Big Brother scored a moderate 690,000 viewers on Sunday night, a pale comparison to Love Island's huge audience of 1.5 million.
It was the sixth consecutive day where Big Brother failed to reach over one million viewers. The series made a limp start with the lowest ever ratings for a Big Brother launch - scoring just 1.3 million.
Producers are now pulling out all the stops in a latest twist that will see housemates date new contestants, mimicking their rival show Love Island.
Rylan Clark-Neal has announced that three new guests will be entering the Big Brother house on Tuesday and bosses will be hoping it brings a ratings resurgence.
