Ant and Dec’s troubled star Ant McPartlin banned from using his phone and from having visitors including wife Lisa and Declan Donnelly in rehab
TROUBLED Ant McPartlin is not being allowed to have his phone or visitors in rehab.
A source said of the Britain’s Got Talent host, who is battling substance abuse and addiction to prescription drugs and alcohol: “The most important thing is getting his health on track.
“Right now Ant won’t be able to have access to his phone or any visitors, even from his wife or Dec.”
The Sun on Sunday told yesterday how Ant, 41 had wept as he revealed his problems to Lisa and co-star Declan Donelly.
The pair yesterday thanked Ant’s fans for their many messages wishing him well.
Dec, 41, said on Twitter: “Thank you for all the kind messages and well wishes for the big fella. He will be touched. Your support is, as ever, much appreciated.”
Lisa added her own thanks, saying: “Completely overwhelmed by all your love and support, it means so much.
“I’m relieved he’s receiving the help he needs. We just need him better.”

Ant is expected to spend two months in rehab.
For much of that time he will be in a wheelchair following surgery on his right knee. It was the chronic pain he suffered from the damaged knee that triggered his painkiller addiction.
“I want to thank my wife, family and closest friends for helping me through this really difficult time.
“I’ve spoken out because I think it’s important that people ask for help if they’re going through a rough time and get the proper treatment to help their recovery.”
