Jeremy McConnell promises to make his late dad proud in Father’s Day post of him cuddling Caben… and Stephanie Davis

JEREMY McConnell has dropped the biggest hint he's back with Stephanie Davis after she featured in a cute photo he posted online to mark his first Father's Day.

Along with the black and white photo, he wrote: "Happy Father's Day , and to my dad I'll make you proud , slowly learning and growing as a person each day ❤️."

His post is sure to set tongues wagging that he has reunited with the actress, who starred in Hollyoaks until 2015 when she was sacked for arriving at work drunk.

Today she initially failed to mention Jeremy, 27, in her own Father's Day post, choosing to celebrate her own dad Roy and his bond with Caben-Albi.

The pair's volatile relationship hit another bump in the road when he apparently "relapsed" just weeks after leaving rehab and flew back to his native Ireland.

He then accused her of speaking ill of his dead parents and cutting up his clothes, accusations she has denied.

Steph’s Father's Day snub comes days after The Sun Online revealed that Jeremy had flown to London for crisis talks with his on-off girlfriend a week after he declared on Twitter that she was “dead to him”.

The 27-year-old model fled to his native Ireland last week after a huge row with the ex-Hollyoaks star triggered by comments made by his former lover.

Sources close to Steph, 24, revealed that she had been worried sick after he left the family home in Liverpool to stay in a hotel, adding she feared he had relapsed just six weeks after leaving rehab.

Last week Steph jetted to Tenerife to deal with the fallout from her latest split from Jeremy.

He claims that Stephanie cut up his clothes and insulted his dead parents – accusations friends of Steph’s have denied.

Jeremy’s route to fatherhood hasn’t been easy, and he initially denied being Steph’s baby’s dad as he doubted she had been faithful to him at the end of their relationship in April 2016.

The star appeared on This Morning earlier this year to give a DNA sample live on the show, before pleading with Steph to give him the results.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun online before finding out he WAS the father, he said: “If I am the father of Stephanie’s baby then I one hundred per cent want joint custody.

There was more heartache earlier this year when Jeremy's dad died after a short battle with cancer.
