BBC sports presenter Gabby Logan lets her 11-year-old twins be gender fluid at home
The TV star says she thinks it's important not to 'force daughter into girly things like clothes and make-up, or son into typically male interests'
TV’S Gabby Logan has revealed she allows her 11- year-old twins to be “fluid” over their gender.
The BBC Sports presenter said she lets kids Lois and Reuben choose their activities, rather than stick to male and female stereotypes.
Gabby, 44, said: “I encourage gender fluidity at home.
“I don’t try to force my daughter into only being into girly things like clothes and make-up. And I don’t try to force my son into only being interested in typically male things either.
"I think it’s so important to let kids do what they want to do and leave them be.
“Let them make up their own minds about what they wear. If my daughter wants to wear an outfit I don’t like — or have her hair a certain way — I won’t intervene.”
Gabby, who married Scottish rugby hunk Kenny Logan in 2001, gave birth to the twins four years later following IVF treatment.
She joins a list of celebrities who have endorsed “gender fluidity” in their family homes.
The term is used to describe a situation when a person varies between identifying as mainly male or mainly female over time.
