How old is Wayne Sleep and who is his husband? Celebrity Big Brother 2018 contestant who came fifth and famous dancer

WAYNE Sleep is a ballet legend and one of the UK's most famous dancers who did his thing in the Celebrity Big Brother 2018 house – eventually coming fifth.

And the nation was recently following him and a few other stars as they travelled around the world on The Real Marigold on Tour on the BBC.

Who is Wayne Sleep and how did he become a dancer?

Wayne Sleep was born in Devon on July 17, 1968, and won a Leverhulme Scholarship to the Royal Ballet School aged 13.

In 1966, he joined the Royal Ballet Company and became a Senior Principal Dancer and established a world record by doing an entrechat-douze (a jump with twelve beats of the feet) in 1973.

He left to form his own dance company Dash in 1980 and worked to present dance to a wider audience, while he also appeared on a variety of West End shows.

Wayne has previously said he is bisexual and is currently living with husband Jose Bergera.

What TV shows has Wayne Sleep been in?

Wayne Sleep competed on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2003 and came fourth.

He was also a judge on ITV dance show, Stepping Out, alongside Mel B and Jason Gardiner in 2013.

Wayne appeared in BBC's 2016 mini-series The Real Marigold Hotel where he joined a group of celebrity pensioners on a journey to India.

Following that he starred on The Real Marigold Tour which saw him, Miriam Margolyes, Rosemary Shrager and Bobby George travel the world.

He was also involved in a special 20th-anniversary show to celebrate the Full Monty.

When was Celebrity Big Brother 2018 on?

Celebrity Big Brother is on twice a year, and headed back to our screens on January 2 at 9pm on Channel 5, with a special hour-and-a-half launch show.

Spin-off Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side hosted by Rylan Clark-Neal also returned and airs after the main programme.

The show launched with an ALL-FEMALE cast of celebrities to commemorate 100 years of women have the right to vote.
