This Morning viewers praise Amanda Barrie, 81, for her youthful looks as she arrives for interview on a Segway

AMANDA Barrie had This Morning viewers flocking to Twitter to share their shock at her youthful appearance.

The Coronation Star star joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on the daytime show to talk  about her new programme, The Baby Boomers Guide To Getting Old.

The star, who played Alma Baldwin on Corrie from 1981 to 2001, spoke about how young she felt when Phil went on to asked her age.

He quipped: "Is it rude for a gentleman to ask a lady her age?"

Amanda laughed: "No darling, everybody knows now. That's all that everyone asks me. I'm nearly 82, I'm 81."

When Holly gushed she looked "amazing", she joked: "No I don't. You've been to Specsavers."

Viewers immediately took to Twitter and one stated: "Amanda Barrie... 81 yrs old... Wow. Looks fantastic, acts and speaks 30 plus years younger. Amazing."

One viewer tweeted: "81????? What the hell?? I thought she was in her 50s @thismorning #ThisMorning."

Another added: "She is no way 81 .. she looks incredible #thismorning."
