Who is Julia Stiles? What is her background?
Born in New York, Julia made her acting debut at the tender age of 11 in the American kids’ TV series Ghostwriter.
She is the eldest of three children and has English, Irish and German ancestry, she graduated from Columbia University with a degree in English.
Her other half is Preston J. Cook, after first meeting in 2005, they got engaged on Christmas Eve, 2015, and in September 2017, the pair got married on a beach in Seattle ahead of the arrival of their baby.
She broke the exciting news to her fans with an intimate picture from her big day, showing both herself and Preston wearing wedding bands.
The good news just kept on coming for the couple, as Julia announced she had given birth to their first child, a son, in late November.
However, the actress admitted she had actually gone into labour on October 20 but kept it secret for the first month of his life.
The couple decided to give their son the unusual name of Strummer Newcomb Cook.

Who does Julia Stiles play in Riviera?
Julia stars as an American art curator called Georgia Clios, who heads off to the French Riviera with her super-rich husband Constantine, a businessman and philanthropist.
But after entering a very glamorous world of designer clothes and extravagant parties, Georgia’s life is blown apart when Constantine is seemingly killed in an explosion on board a luxury yacht.
With Constantine presumed dead, a grief stricken Georgia begins a journey that uncovers the “grit beneath the gloss” of her apparently perfect life.
Along the way, she finds herself mourning with Constantine’s elegant ex-wife Irina, who had three kids with him during their marriage.
Soon the mystery behind what happened on the yacht begins to unravel, and so does Georgia’s life.
It’s not long before she starts to uncover some very dark truths about her husband.
